ABOUT MMSEZ
Musina-Makhado Special Economic Zone (MMSEZ) is a project of the Limpopo Provincial Government (RSA), MMSEZ is a State-Owned Company established in terms of the SEZ Act no. 16 of 2014, to develop, manage and operate the SEZ. MMSEZ SOC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Limpopo Economic Development Agency, with its own Board of Directors. It received cabinet approval and was subsequently gazetted in December 2017.
MMSEZ strategic focus is to achieve rapid industrialisation through use of the SEZ as an investment promotion tool. First and foremost as an industrial policy tool MMSEZ seeks to attract both Foreign and Domestic Direct Investment and in the resource-based industries (agriculture and mining), general manufacturing, green energy and logistics.
MMSEZ is a green field investment platform consisting of two sites in the northern part of South Africa, in Limpopo Province. The MMSEZ clusters are organized around the following industries, energy and metallurgy and the other on three sectors, i.e. general manufacturing, agro-processing and logistics.
The North Site (GPS S22:20 0 596 E30:04’07.49″) known as Antonvilla (3500 ha), located in Musina, approximately 15 km southeast of the Beitbridge Border Post between South Africa and Zimbabwe. The site is planned for light and medium manufacturing industries, including logistics, and agro-processing
Strategic Location
Positioned adjacent to Zimbabwe's border and near the Beitbridge border, MMSEZ commands a pivotal role along the north-south transport corridor.
Transport Connectivity
Seamlessly linked by the arterial N1 road network, Musina serves as a nexus for trade, facilitating the efficient flow of goods from Cape Town to Johannesburg and Polokwane.

MMSEZ aims to offer state-of-the-art logistics facilities, promoting operational excellence and enabling businesses to streamline supply chains and embrace Just-in-Time principles for enhanced efficiency.
Trade Opportunities
South Africa's duty-free access to 15 SADC nations and the potential of the African Continental Free Trade Area positions MMSEZ as a gateway to vast markets, fostering preferential trading opportunities with an additional 38 countries.
